About Constance Lynn, MA CPsych
As an award-winning Psychotherapist, Leadership and Peak Performance Coach, Corporate Trainer, and Speaker, I have spent the past 15 years supporting high performers in high-pressure industries. And one thing they all have in common? They work hard, but they play hard too. I guess that’s why we get along…
My clients have included sailors, scuba divers, climbers, parasailers, skiers and boarders, race car drivers, among others. Essentially, people who choose to push themselves to the limit for work and fun.
The problem is, sometimes things don’t go as planned or the fun gets pushed too far – accidents happen, mistakes are made, people get hurt – or worse…
In the aftermath of an accident or loss, many times we can’t mentally or physically just “shake it off” without a little help. When events get stuck in the nervous system, we can lose our edge, our drive, our ability to trust ourselves in similar situations going forward, or we can start to feel out of control in our own bodies. Feeling frozen, panicked, and fearful – suddenly unwanted thoughts, confusing feelings, and self doubt creep in. When you need to depend on muscle memory and a second’s hesitation can literally mean life or death, you don’t have the option to stay stuck.
That’s where I come in…
To support you, I have a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University (1100hr double practicum), and a Masters Certificate in Values-Based Leadership from Royal Roads University, and a Lambent Certificate in Neuroscience Coaching. I am also an Associate Power Coach through Coaching and Leadership International, an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Practitioner, HeartMath Certified Clinical Practitioner, Certified Advanced LENS Neurofeedback Practitioner, and Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator. I also run three of my own businesses and consult with organizations looking to harness the power of their teams to create braver, more innovative change in the world.
At Peak Depth Consulting, I help Adventure Enthusiasts like you get back to what they love, or take their game to the next level through Peak Performance EMDR Intensives. Intensives are a fast and targeted approach tailored to your specific situation, wherever you are in the world.
I support clients reset and return to their “normal” and help prevent future problems in the immediate or long-term aftermath of:
- Accidents – experienced or witnessed
- Illness and/or Injuries
- Medical procedures
- Inter-crew / safety-buddy conflict
- Post-passage/race recovery
- Near miss / near death experiences – actual or perceived
- Sudden and unexpected loss and setbacks
- Reactive panic attacks and phobias
Or, we take things that work and make them even better like:
- Mental pre-passage/race prep
- Safely returning to play after extended time away / injury recovery
- Nervous System conditioning
- Removing mental blocks and limiting beliefs
- Intentionally planning for success and recalibrating after disappointment
- Increasing your mental fitness, focus, clarity, and emotional resilience
- Creating (and practicing) a success mindset
- Accelerating your ability to pivot and reset plans on the fly
- And moving past the out-of-date stories keeping you stuck or stagnant
Intensives can create the change you seek without needing years to get there. We’ve already established you have some life to be living!
In my downtime, my latest passion is yacht racing and I am working towards my Ocean Yachtmaster Certification. Other loves include scuba diving, rock climbing, downhill skiing and pretty much anything that connects me to the awareness that this world is full of adventure and wonder. Don’t get me wrong – I also love to just put my feet up, daydream, and stare at the clouds. Rest is just as important as play!
